Developed and tested by B\u00d6HLER, this remelting technology provides extremely low micro and macro segregation and gives the material the purity and homogeneity needed to deliver outstanding performance in practice.<\/p>\n<p>Bohler K340 \u2013 Bohler Uddeholm Group Tool Steel. Compared to analog, the X12MF has higher purity and higher durability. It is the best choice for hunting or outdoor knives.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Chemical composition by weight: 1.10% C, 0.70% Si, 0.40% Mn, 8.20% Cr, 2.10% Mo, 0.50% V, + Al, Nb<\/p>\n<p>Heat treatment<\/p>\n<p>Hardening: 1020 to 1060 C (1870-1940 F). Oil, salt bath, compressed air, air, vacuum. After heating, hold for 15 to 30 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Hardening: Slow heating to thawing temperature immediately after curing. Time in the oven 1 hour for every 20 mm (0.79 inch) workpiece thickness, but at least 2 hours.
