Damascus steel – forged Damascus steel is made from a package of steels of different hardness and toughness, layered into a billet in a set sequence. The billet is then repeatedly re-forged, which creates the layers and a unique pattern.
This complex technological process is carried out by hand. Steel produced this way is characterised by increased toughness, high hardness, excellent cutting properties and beauty.
